Kingaroy Junior Soccer Club is also trying to raise awareness of the State Government’s “Get Started” scheme which provides funding to help children participate in sports.
Get Started assists children and young people (unfer 18) who can least afford or may otherwise benefit from joining a sport or recreation club.
Eligible children and young people are provided with a voucher for up to $150 to help pay for club membership and participation fees.
The vouchers can be redeemed at a sport or recreation club registered with the program.
Parents who hold a Health Care card will be able to claim a voucher from 10:00am on Monday, February 10.
There are a limited number of vouchers available each year so parents are advised to apply as soon as the scheme opens.
