A 25-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being allegedly “coward punched” outside a Kingaroy hotel in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A police spokesman said the man was waiting outside the hotel for a lift about 12:45am when he was struck on the left side of the face, striking his head against the wall of the building.
The man was taken to Kingaroy Hospital with concussion and a suspected fractured top vertebra in his neck.
Police investigations are continuing.
