Blue Care at Murgon will receive part of $539,1149 in Federal Government funding announced last week for Home and Community Care (HACC) providers in the Wide Bay electorate.
The service will share $249,332 with Blue Care providers in Gympie and Cooroy.
“HACC funding supports a range of services that enable frail aged people and young people with disabilities to remain in their own homes with the support of their family,” Member for Wide Bay, Deputy Prime Minister Warren Truss said.
“We know the majority of people prefer to continue living in their own homes for as long as possible and HACC service providers can give people a higher level of independence, comfort and security.
“This funding will assist these organisations to deliver services which maintain and improve the quality of life for older and disabled Australians.”
