Police have charged 18 people with a total of 56 offences following a series of drug raids in the South Burnett, Sunshine Coast, Caboolture and Bundaberg areas.
State Crime Command’s Drug and Organised Crime Group executed search warrants between January 8-13 in South Nanango, Burpengary, Narangba, Elimba, Bucca, Dagun, Monduran, Waterloo, Moore Park Beach, Bundaberg and Mapleton as part of “Operation Mike Video”.
Police allegedly located and seized hydroponic and bush cannabis plants, dried cannabis, two unregistered firearms, and nine hydroponic systems. The drugs have a value of more than $900,000.
The charges include produce, supply and possess dangerous drugs, possess utensils, unlicensed firearms, possess instructions and possess things used in commission of an offence.
The 18 people charged are expected to appear in the Caboolture and Nambour Magistrates Courts over coming weeks.
