Kingaroy RSL have continued their undefeated streak in the local A Grade cricket competition, downing Wondai Wolves in their two-day match completed at Wondai at the weekend.
Kingaroy won the toss on Day 1 (December 7) and elected to bat, declaring at 7/302 after 57 overs.
Queensland Country Squad member Anthony Eden knocked out more than a third of the runs, finishing with 113.
Marc Schmidt (52) and Luke Metcalf (37) also helped the scoreboard tick off.
Best of the Wolves’ bowlers were Geoff Wallis (3/56) and Rory Brown (2/54).
In reply, Wondai were 9/127 at the end of play on Day 1 and all out for 166 after 45 overs.
Dan Stumer (47 n/o), James Cameron (35) and Kiall Rowberry (28 n/o) were the best of the Wondai batsmen.
David Hosking (4/21) and Darren Geiger (3/14) took the majority of the wickets.
In their second innings, Kingaroy again declared, this time at 4/104 after just 26 overs and setting the Wolves a target of 241 for victory.
Craig Sippel (37 n/o), Lane Ferling (30) and Tony Dugdell (17) added most of the runs.
Toren Anderton (2/22) and Geoff Wallis (1/24) took the wickets.
However Wondai well short of the target, all out for 115 after 34 overs.
Geoff Wallis (36), Kiall Rowberry (30) and James Cameron (22) all made starts.
Tony Dugdell (3/22) and Anthony Eden (3/25) did the damage for Kingaroy/
Kingaroy RSL won outright by 125 runs.
