John and Irene Flegg, from Murgon, have received an early Christmas Gift after winning a month’s worth of meet from a local butcher shop.
The couple have lived in the area for 39 years and have never won a local prize in anything, so they are “absolutely thrilled”.
The butchershop, owned by Simone and Brett Greer, gave away $400 worth of meat as part of a competition to mark its opening in Macalister Street, Murgon.
