Investigations are continuing into a house fire that claimed the life of an 87-year-old man at Goombungee last night.
Police arrived at the King Street home to discover it was well alight shortly after 10:20pm.
They were unable to gain entry due to the extent of the fire.
The man’s body was found after the fire had been extinguished.
Fire investigators attended the scene this morning.
