The Coverty Rural Fire Brigade recently held its annual Trivia Night fundraiser at the Proston Hall.
The Trivia Night was a great success with more than 80 people taking part.
The winners were the Proston CWA Ladies who won by one point.
During the night, the Brigade drew the winning tickets of both their Mega and Monster Raffles.
The winners of the Monster Raffle were:
- 1st Prize – 54″ Zero Turn Ride On Lawn Mower donated and supplied by Wooroolin Machinery – Mr M. Wyatt of Wondai; his partner Ms Janette Elder accepted the mower on his behalf.
- 2nd Prize – 6 x 4 Trailer donated by Kingaroy Equipment Sails – Ms C. Humphrey of Proston
- 3rd Prize – Your Weight in XXXX Gold cans donated by Carrollee Hotel – Mr C. Kerr of Ban Ban Springs.
First prize winner of the Mega Raffle was Ms B. Leeson of Proston.
A very special thanks goes to the Coverty Creek Community Development and Social Club Inc and the Proston CWA for the bar facilities and catering on the night.
All monies raised will assist the Brigade in their upgrade of the station, purchase of fuel, advance training, plus much more.
