Earlier this year the Nanango & District camera club were fotunate enough to obtain a community grant from the Heritage Nanango Community Bank, which allowed the club to buy a much-needed computer.
And last Sunday, October 20, our state-of-the-art computer got its first major work-out when we held a digital photographic editing workshop.
The computer was vital to the success of the workshop, which was run by club secretary and well known local photographer Clive Lowe. Around 10 members, as well as guests from the Murgon and Kingaroy photographic clubs, took part in the workshop.
We would like to take this opportunity to give a big thanks to the Nanango Heritage Community Bank for their assistance. The workshop was a first for our club and enjoyed by everyone who attended.
We would like also to thank Matt and Sonia Vine from St. Patrick’s primary school for letting us use the school library to run this event.
We will look at our recent South Burnett Interclub photographic competition results, and then we will hold a camera and image taking workshop.
This will start as general photo taking and then we will probably break into groups and do some one-on-one camera and photo taking problem solving.
This workshop will be for all members, as well as anybody who would like to come and try our club activities.
There’ll be a small $3 meeting fee which will pay for coffee, tea and library use.
