Christine Millar, from QML at Nanango, is the latest winner of the Kingaroy Rotary Club’s “Pride of Workmanship” Award.
Christine is a phlebotomist, ie she collects blood samples.
She was presented with her trophy at Monday night’s Rotary meeting at Kingaroy RSL Club.
Each month, the public has been invited to nominate an outstanding individual in a particular work category; so far trophies have been presented for “Child Care Worker” and “Transport”.
Christine won the September award which was for the category “Health Care”.
The former nurse has been with QML for eight years, and has been collecting blood samples for 30 years.
The nomination for her award read that she “always treats her patients with concern but is also great fun”.
