A 41-year-old NRL player agent from Sydney has been charged over the death of Kingaroy resident Shaun Miles in May.

Mr Miles’ body was found by joggers on the corner of Fisher Street and Alford Street East early on May 24.

Paul Sutton, from Sutherland, appeared briefly in Brisbane Magistrates Court today facing one charge of manslaughter.

The charge was adjourned to November 25.

Sutton was granted bail with conditions and allowed to return to NSW.

The court appearance follows a meeting in Brisbane this morning between Kingaroy detectives and Sutton.

Senior Sergeant Duane Frank, from Kingaroy police, said police investigations were relying on pathology results and expert medical evidence in relation to the cause of death.

Sutton was allegedly involved in an altercation with Mr Miles earlier in the evening at the Club Hotel in Kingaroy Street.

Snr Sgt Frank said a large number of witness statements had been taken, and police had possession of an amount of CCTV footage.

Sutton was in Kingaroy to attend an U18s schoolboys championship at T.J. O’Neill Oval.
