The South Burnett Pest Advisory Committee is calling for nominations from motivated landholders interested in representing their local area.
Representatives will have the opportunity to bring locally relevant issues and solutions raised by surrounding landholders regarding feral animal and weed management to the Committee.
As a collective representative body these points can then be raised with Local Government, State Government and funding bodies for consideration within existing control programs or ideas for future projects or funding applications.
Representatives can also keep up to date with information regarding support programs, legislation changes and latest technology to provide local assistance to landholders in their area.
The committee is driven and led by landholders.
The South Burnett Regional Council supports the committee by providing assistance with administration and will be in attendance during meetings.
Representatives from government and funding bodies will be invited, depending on agenda items.
