Chef Jason Ford will be providing cooking demonstrations at the Expo

South Burnett chef Jason Ford will be demonstrating “healthy fast food cooking” as part of the South Burnett Health and Lifestyle Expo.

The expo, which has been organised by RHealth in partnership with the South Burnett Regional Council’s Healthy Communities Initiative, will be held from 9:00am-3:00pm on Saturday, October 19, at Kingaroy Town Hall.

More than 30 service providers from sporting clubs, health and fitness organisations, medical services and well-being practitioners will have displays.

“The expo aims to show residents of the South Burnett the wide variety of services on offer in their region,” Berneice Hilly, from RHealth, said.

“It is also an opportunity to be motivated and inspired by one of the many guests speaking on the day.

“You can get involved in a fitness class demonstration, learn about E Health records, get involved with chef Jason Ford’s Healthy Fast Food Cooking demo, plus many more!”

The timetable for the day includes:

  • 9:15am – Morgan’s Health Solutions: 7 Super Secrets of Successful Living
  • 10:00am – Medicare Local: E Health records
  • 10:45am – Snap Fitness: Fitness Class
  • 11:15am – Carers Queensland: Carer Friendly Business Awards
  • 11:30am – Jason Ford: Healthy Fast Food Cooking Demo
  • Noon – You First Personal Training: Inspiring story from a client who achieved life changing results
  • 12:15pm – Karmic Seeds: information on hypnosis & guided relaxation
  • 1:00pm – Bushland Therapies: information about the different therapies
  • 1:45pm – Growing the Burnett: Presentation
  • 2:30pm – Proston Golf Club: information on using Glow in the Dark equipment

“Don’t forget to pack your comfortable clothes and sneakers to get involved in an exercise session,” Ms Hilly said.

Several lucky door prizes will be given away during the expo, including a six-month membership to a gym of your choice; a box of fresh fruit and vegetables; and a family pool pass.

CROW-FM will be broadcasting from the Town Hall Forecourt on the day.
