The Kingaroy & District Vintage Machinery Club’s annual two-day rally attracted a record number of exhibitors to the club’s new grounds at Butwell Park at the weekend.

The former cricket oval adjacent to Kingaroy Airport has been transformed into a machinery arena, complete with its own parade ground and banks for seating.

A new clubhouse has also been erected which featured a licensed bar and a Lions Club barbecue.

As well as old tractors and trucks, there was a large display of stationary engines and demonstrations of vintage machinery at work, including chainsaws and farm equipment.

Exhibitors came from all over south-east Queensland for the rally.
