Councillors and staff  inspected roads at Ellesmere, Kingaroy, Wooroolin, Wondai, Murgon, Byee, Booie and Wattle Camp last week.

They inspected roadworks underway and proposals for future works prior to making submissions for new Roads to Recovery Projects in 2014-15.

The inspection group stopped in at Murgon to visit the replacement culvert which is being constructed on Thomson Street following the recent demolition of the old timber bridge.

“This project will be of major benefit to the area,” Mayor Kratzmann said.

The councillors and Chief Executive Officer Ken McLoughlin also inspected proposed kerb and channel and road widening works that will be occurring near Castra in Murgon.
