The Kingaroy Writers Association held a workshop on Tuesday, September 3.
We had nine members and one guest present.
We presented our Spoonerisms and unusual words, including such gems as “eidetic”, “evanescent”, “pusillanimous” and “idiopathic”.
After smoko, Elizabeth presented an interesting workshop on “Yellow”.
The day finished with the reading of our homework.
Our next meeting is on Tuesday, September 17.
Homework for that meeting is to write about 1000 words on the topic “It Looks Like Being A Long Haul/Time”, to invent an epigram on the topic “Helpless” and to find an unusual word and its meaning.
The Kingaroy Writers Association meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month at the Uniting Church hall, corner Alford and Youngman streets, Kingaroy.
Meetings start at 9:30am and we warmly welcome visitors.
