South Burnett Car Sales & Window Tinting Redbacks in action on Saturday against the Barambah Painting Contractor Bears

The semi-finals of the Cadets division of the South Burnett Junior Soccer competition were played in Kingaroy this evening with the Kingaroy Redbacks and the Nanango Panthers earning a place in Saturday’s Grand Final.

In the first game (2nd v 3rd) the South Burnett Car Sales & Window Tinting Redbacks 5 defeated Barambah Painting Contractor Bears 0.

The second match (1st v 4th) was much closer.

After some exciting football, the scores were locked 1-all at full-time and were still locked after extra time was played.

The Fleming’s Garage Panthers eventually defeated favourites minor premiers Total Building Solutions Qld Bears in a penalty shootout  to go through to the Grand Final.

The Cadets Grand Final will be played at 11:15am on Saturday (September 7).

The losers of the semi-finals will go into the Cadet Cup along with Kingaroy Joinery Redbacks and The Lucky Charm Newsagency Redbacks with the first round robin game kicking off at 8:00am.

The Thursday night games follow a big weekend of Junior Soccer in Kingaroy last Saturday which saw the semi-finals of the U12/13s decided and the last round of fixtures in the Cadets competition.

The  U12/13 Grand Final will be played at 12:30pm  between the Struddy’s Sports Store Redbacks and the King Air Redbacks.

The U12/13 Consolation Final will be played at 11.15am between  the Kingaroy Accounting & Tax Redbacks and Sellwood Construction Bears.

Can Do Landscape Supplies Panthers, Auswide Silage Bears, The Mad Gamer & Dugie’s Driver Training Panthers and Hair Elegance Redbacks will all compete in the 12/13 Cup with the first round robin game kicking off at 8:00am.

There will also be a full round of games for U6s through to U10/11s.

Struddy’s Sports Store Redbacks went through to the Grand Final in U12/13s by defeating the Sellwood Construction Bears
