Nanango Stags U16s will face Central Burnett in next week’s Grand Final in Gayndah

Nanango has charged its way through to the Grand Final of the U16s rugby league competition with a second-half demolition of the Hornets at Cherbourg on Saturday afternoon.

At half-time, Cherbourg was behind by just eight points but the Stags changed gears in the second half to record a 60-10 victory in hot conditions.

Brodie Cortes put in a strong performance, keeping the scoreboard ticking over.

The U16s Grand Final, between Nanango and Central Burnett, will be played at Gayndah next Saturday.

Also through to the Grand Final are Kingaroy in U14s, after defeating Murgon 24-18 on Saturday. They will play Cherbourg next week in Gayndah.

In U12s, Cherbourg defeated Central Burnett 20-10. They will play Kingaroy in Gayndah.
