An elderly man who apparently lost control of his 4WD in Youngman Street, Kingaroy, early on Saturday morning demolished a set of traffic lights on the corner of Markwell Street, near Aldi.
Police said the 72-year-old was on his way from Inverlaw to Wondai when the incident occurred about 5:30am.
He was taken by ambulance to Kingaroy Hospital for treatment to minor injuries.
Ergon Energy and South Burnett Regional Council were called to the scene to secure the fallen lights.
Drivers should note that the traffic lights have been switched off at the intersection until repairs can be made.
