Goondiwindi proved too strong for the South Burnett in their away match in the Darling Downs AFL competition played at the weekend.
The Saints were held goal-less in the first quarter, and although they played better in the second, they were behind by 64 points at the half-time break.
The final score was Goondiwindi 34.14 (218) to South Burnett 8.8 (56).
The Saints’ goals were kicked by Paul Pressnell (2), Alexander Totton (2), Adam Bowater, Brad Edwards, Aidan Brennan and Braeden Snow.
Best players were Jordan Pressnell, Adam Bowater, Paul Pressnell, Nathan Trace, Nathan Emmerson and Matthew Eckermann.
Next weekend, the South Burnett side will be playing their last match for season 2013.
The home game, at Lyle Vidler Oval, will be against fellow competition newcomers Chinchilla, and is sure to be an exciting match.
The Saints downed the Chinchilla Suns by just one point when they met in Chinchilla during Round 9 earlier this year.
