The Cherbourg Historical Precinct Group – operators of The Ration Shed Museum and the Yidding Artists Studio – will receive $18,000 under the latest round of funding from the State Government’s Indigenous Regional Arts Development Fund.
The government has allocated $230,000 across Queensland to be divided between 13 Aboriginal councils, Aboriginal organisations and a Regional Authority to support artistic and cultural activities.
“The fund was established in the late 90s and is a true partnership between the Queensland Government and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities,” Arts Minister Ian Walker said.
