Ironpot grazier – and author – Alice Greenup will be the guest speaker at a joint forum being held at Wooroolin later this month.
The Queensland Rural, Regional and Remote Women’s Network (QRRRWN) and the National Council of Women of Queensland (NCWQ) will meet at Wooroolin Hall on August 21 from 9:30am to 2:30pm.
The groups usually hold their biennial joint forum in Gympie; this is the first time that it has been hosted in the South Burnett.
As well as the talk by Alice, QRRRWN president Georgie Somerset will facilitate a session to identify issues and opportunities for collaboration and building stronger urban and rural links.
Cost is $20 per person (pre-booked) or $22 on the day, which includes morning tea and lunch.
