Petrol heads seemed to be having a devilishly good time at the annual “Raising Hell In Maidenwell” car show at the weekend.
Saturday was the public day of the three-day rally at the Maidenwell sportsground which is organised by the South Burnett Gas Guzzlers Rods and Customs club.
The oval was filled with hot rods and street machines, and even a few classic cars tossed in for good measure.
Everything from a Willys ute street machine to a meticulously restored Studebaker Hawk.
Some of the vehicles had a “rock’n’roll” 50s theme, which was echoed in the classic caravans that also dotted the grounds.
Car enthusiasts come from all over south-east Queensland for the weekend, which includes live music and events at the Maidenwell Hotel.
On Sunday morning, participants took part in a “mystery cruise” around the South Burnett.
