The State Government has announced the latest allocations for regional Councils through the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF).
Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington said the South Burnett Regional Council would receive $41,333 in funding.
“The Regional Arts Development Fund is a state-wide partnership between the Queensland Government and local councils for arts and cultural projects,” she said.
“I know this is a very popular funding program with our arts and cultural groups and it’s great to see the South Burnett receiving a good share of the funds. I look forward to seeing the projects that come from it.
“It’s part of a $2.015 million statewide commitment from the Queensland Government in 2013–14, with another $1.49 million coming from councils.
“The Regional Arts Development Fund supports more than 3000 arts and cultural projects each year, with communities choosing projects to meet their own needs and opportunities.”
