Yarraman Bowls Club will be celebrating its golden anniversary next month with a weekend of activities.
On Saturday (August 10), there will be an Open Day from 1:30pm.
Visitors will be able to peruse photos and memorabilia at the clubhouse … and there may even be an opportunity to play an end or two with friends.
On Sunday (August 11), fours will take to the greens in two games of 18 ends. Trophies will be awarded.
Teams can earn two points for winning an end and four points for a game.
Jacks will be respotted if sent dead.
Games director Kevin Proffke said teams were coming from “all over the place” for the weekend.
“Every club in the South Burnett has received an invitation,” he said.
“There’s even a team from Roma coming.”
Individual players who may like to take part can play as “spares”.
Green fees are $20 which includes lunch and a cup of tea.
