The Rosalie North Landcare Group is organising a special Soil Health Field Day later this month for rural producers in the Cooyar catchment area.
The field day will visit two local properties to find out more about sustainable management practices to enhance soil health and land condition and enable long-term sustainable agricultural production.
Participants will meet at 9:00am on Thursday, July 25 at 148 Krugers Road, Kooralgin.
Later in the day, the field day will move to “Fairview Lodge”, 518 Cooyar-Kooralgin Road, Kooralgin.
Cost is free and morning tea and lunch will be provided.
Guest speakers will be Gary Zerner from AgSolutions and Kevin Collingridge from Norco Rural.
They will discuss building soil carbon, interpreting soil tests, and farming and grazing practices to improve soil health decline.
