Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington has congratulated local group South Burnett Jobmatch on successfully securing funding to improve the operations at their social enterprise, “Garden AdVentures”, in Kingaroy.

Mrs Frecklington said the group, which helps find employment for people with a disability, was able to secure funding of $35,793 through the Jupiter’s Casino Community Benefit Fund to install eight shade houses, build paths and purchase gardening tools for the centre.

“It was great to meet Leesa from Jobmatch and Jason who manages Gardening AdVentures to officially present them with their grant and see the final results, now the project has been completed,” Mrs Frecklington said.

“Having this type of work and facility available for people with a disability in our region is a great result and I’d like to congratulate Jobmatch on developing this social enterprise,” she said.

Jobmatch were also successful in achieving a Gambling Community Benefit Grant to help them purchase a car and trailer for the service.

“The Gambling and Jupiters Community Benefit Fund Grants are a great way for community groups to achieve significant projects and I would always encourage groups in our area to consider applying for one of the four rounds each year,” Mrs Frecklington said.
