After putting in strong performances over the past few weeks, the South Burnett AFL team came crashing back to earth this week with a thumping by South Toowoomba.
The Bombers’ firepower at home was too strong for the Saints, with the final score 27.11 (173) to 3.9 (27).
The Saints were never in it against last year’s minor premiers and were behind at every change.
The halftime score was 11.5 (71) to 1.6 (12).
Goal kickers for the Saints were Paul Pressnell, Daniel Clacy and Brad Edwards.
Best players were Daniel Clacy, Nathan Emmerson, Ty Snow, Adam Bowater, Lucas Walsh and Paul Pressnell.
Next weekend, the Saints will be playing the Warwick Redbacks at home in Kingaroy.
The match at Lyle Vidler Oval will kick off at 2:30pm.
The South Burnett side will be hoping to improve on their performance from Round 5, when the Redbacks defeated them 28.8 (186) to 1.9 (15).
