Tickets for the South Burnett Relay For Life’s “Dinner With The Captains” have been selling so fast that the organisers of the dinner have been forced to shift venues.
The dinner – which will feature Maroons coach (and former Australian captain) Mal Meninga, sports commentator (and former Australian Test captain) Greg Chappell and Commonwealth Games gold medallist (and former Australian netball captain) Vicki Wilson – was to have been held at Wondai Memorial Hall on August 3.
However South Burnett Relay For Life patron Carl Rackemann said on Friday that a decision had been made to shift the dinner to Kingaroy Town Hall to allow more tables to be sold. The date will remain the same.
Mr Rackemann said these added tickets were also being snapped up fast so anyone wanting to attend would have to act quickly.
Cost is $75 per person or $700 for a table of 10.
