A large-scale hazard reduction burn will be carried out by Queensland Fire and Rescue Service crews about noon on Sunday near Kingaroy.
The burn off area will be between Clark and Swendson roads, Keith Shaw Drive, Harris Road, Thelma Street, Earl Street, Gwen Street, Duke Street and Hodge Street.
Motorists in the area have been urged to drive with caution and obey all direction from traffic controllers.
A large smoke haze will blanket the area, particularly properties located near Clark and Swendson roads.
Residents are advised to keep their doors and windows closed and if they are susceptible to respiratory illnesses to keep medications close by.
