The South Burnett Thrashers rugby union team had a bruising encounter with the Toowoomba Bears’ B Grade side in their away match, played at Heritage Oval in Toowoomba, on Saturday.
The Thrashers went down 59-10 to the Bears who have only lost one game so far this season.
The South Burnett team will be looking for a good display next Saturday as they’ll be playing back at home.
They’ll take on the Dalby Wheatmen in Round 6 at St Mary’s Oval in Kingaroy from 1:30pm.
UPDATE May 8: The Thrashers home game that was advertised for this weekend has been changed. The match against the Wheatmen will now be played in Dalby on Friday night at 7:30pm. The away fixture against Dalby scheduled for July 20 will now be played in Kingaroy.
