Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service (DDHHS) Board Chair Mr Mike Horan has presented 10 Kingaroy Hospital staff with certificates and badges in recognition of their long and dedicated service.

Mr Horan said it was one of his most enjoyable duties to present staff with DDHHS certificates and badges recognising length of service for 15 years, 20 years, 25 years, 30 years and 35 years.

The presentation ceremony was held on Monday, April 29.

The DDHHS Board visited Kingaroy Hospital and then held its monthly meeting there on the following day.

“At this presentation we had nurses, operational staff, administration officers and community health staff receiving their certificates.

“Their contribution to health service delivery is invaluable and the Board commends these staff members on their work ethic and dedication to patient care,” Mr Horan said.

“The DDHHS Board takes pride in being a valued employer across the Darling Downs and looks forward to recognising more long serving staff over many years.”

Of the recipients of the awards presented on Monday, Lyn Maynard was recognised as the longest-serving employee; Lyn has been an Operational Services Officer at the Kingaroy Hospital for 30 years.
