Ty Snow scored the solitary goal for the South Burnett Saints in their Aussie Rules game against the Warwick Redbacks in Saturday.
The final score was 28.8 (186) to 1.9 (15).
The match, playing for the “Anzac Cup”, was the fledgling team’s fifth in the Allied Pickfords Cup, and their fourth played on the road.
However, the boys will be back at home next weekend, playing the South Toowoomba Bombers from 2:30pm at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy.
It will be a big day for the team, as they’re also hosting a special breakfast on the day to raise awareness about domestic violence.
The State Government has provided the club with a grant of $3000 to hold the event as part of Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month.
