Murgon Sportsground hosted a full-round of junior games on Saturday plus a Round 2 match from the Bundaberg Rugby League’s Under 18s competition.

The Murgon Mustangs scored four tries to defeat the Eastern Suburbs Magpies 22-12.

Murgon now leads the U18s competition on for and against; also undefeated are Wests Panthers and Fraser Coast (who had a bye in Round 1).

Next weekend Murgon is scheduled to take on Across The Waves in Bundaberg.

No senior games were played in the South Burnett at the weekend due to representative games played at Monto.
