The Nanango Probus club welcomed a new leader aboard when it held its annual Induction Luncheon at the Palace Hotel in Drayton Street on Wednesday afternoon.
Robert Westley was inaugurated as the club’s 2013-14 President by John Armstrong from the Kingaroy branch.
Other office-bearers this year include Jocelyn Richardson (Vice-President), Denise Sinden (Treasurer), Mary Turner (Secretary and Guest Speaker Officer), Trish Daly (Hospitality Officer), Sandra Bowtell-Harris (Publicity Officer), Dorn Gooding (Membership Officer), Jan Knight (Activity Officer) and Judy Bryant (Welfare Officer).
The Nanango Probus Club is one of Nanango’s most active service clubs. It meets at the CWA Rooms in Fitzroy Street on the second Wednesday of each month from 9:30am to about 11:30am.
Meetings usually feature guest speakers talking on a variety of topics, along with morning tea and chats.
The group also arranges a number of special outings during the course of the year.
