Glen Brian Duggan, 37, entered no plea when he appeared in Kingaroy Magistrates Court this morning, charged with the murder on Wednesday of Renee Todd at Kingaroy.
Wearing prison greens and flanked by two detectives, Duggan sat quietly in the dock while solicitor Mr Andrew Kelly, as duty lawyer, spoke on his behalf.
Police found Ms Todd, 26, deceased at her Gladys Street unit at 2:15am yesterday morning.
Magistrate Mark Bucknall remanded Duggan for committal mention at Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 11, although the matter may be brought forward upon written application by either the defence or prosecution.
There was no application for bail.
Duggan will appear at his next court hearing via video link.
