Kingaroy Landcare Group will be hosting a field walk next Saturday (April 13) to discuss possible remediation measures for gully erosion.
The walk will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at ‘Wallaby Hill’ on River Road (meet 5km west of the Youngman Street roundabout, opposite Smith Road).
Guest speaker will be Erin Lawless, from Lawless Land Resource Science at Booubyjan.
Participants will inspect multi-headed gully erosion and discuss remediation options including using a small series of dams and traps to slow the water speed and trap silt.
Smoko will be provided.
