Southern Queensland Country Tourism has launched a new guide to inspire visitors to choose the local region for their next holiday.
The 2013/2014 Southern Queensland Country Travellers’ Guide is designed to help potential visitors research and plan their trip as well as spur residents to explore more of their local region.
SQCT CEO Mary-Clare Power said the new guide demonstrates the best of the Southern Queensland Country region, which includes Toowoomba, the Darling Downs, Southern Downs, Granite Belt, South Burnett and Western Downs.
“Readers will be motivated by stories of our regional flavours, arts and crafts, cultural heritage and natural attractions – not to mention our insider tips from locals, our wonderful events and some incredible new images,” she said.
“Additionally, the guide contains practical information such as maps, event calendars, suggested itineraries, accommodation details, market listings, and – for the first time – a golfer’s guide to Southern Queensland Country.”
Ms Power said 90,000 copies of the guide had been printed and would be available at Visitor Information Centres across Queensland and northern New South Wales and at RACQ branches.
The guide can also be ordered online.
A Travellers’ Guide app for Android and iPads is in development and will be available soon.
