The Wondai Kindy held its annual Golf And Barefoot Bowls Fun Day at the Wondai Country Club last Saturday afternoon in near-perfect weather.
The event is one of the Kindy’s major fundraisers and this year we introduced a round of Night Golf for extra excitement, with teams competing in a 3 person ambrose for winners, runners-up and wooden spoon prizes.
This year’s Golf And Barefoot Bowls Fun Day was sponsored by the Tingoora Hotel, the Wondai Timber Museum, Wondai IGA, WFI, the Peanut Van, Bass 2 Barra, Pharmacy Essentials, the Carrollee Hotel, BGA Agriservices, Wooroolin Country Meats, Murgon Tyre and Auto, Gwen Olm, Sandra Prain, Letitia Frahm from Lorraine Lea Linen, the Grand Hotel at Wooroolin, the PCYC in Murgon and the Wondai Country Club.
For the golfing competition, the winners were:
- 1st:Chrissy and Jeff Wallis and Cameron Donerhoe
- 2nd:Boof, Fubbsy and Dean
- Wooden Spoon: Gaye and Andrew Hobbs and Peter Holt
NTP – Chrissy Wallis; Lady’s LD – Chrissy Wallis; Men’s LD – Graham Brown
For the bowls competition, the winners were:
- 1st:Nathen Cram, M. Sherley and D. Manthey
- 2nd:Graham Allen, J. Murphy, S. Gardner and David Eagleson
- Wooden Spoon: K. Dukes, S. Dukes and B. Carroll
