Jazz trumpeter James Morrison and his Motown Band will be starring at the Mayoral Charity Gala Ball which will be held at Kingaroy Town Hall on June 1.
Morrison will be bringing the sound of Motown to the South Burnett with songs made famous by Marvin Gaye, The Temptations and Diana Ross & The Supremes.
There’ll be a vocal group live on stage plus an 11-piece band led by Morrison.
The glittering evening, which will begin with champagne and hors d’oeuvres in the Town Hall forecourt, will be compered by former Channel 9 newsreader Heather Foord and is being supported by Meandu Mine.
During the evening, the raffle for the Huston Nissan Micra – part of the Mayor’s Red Earth South Burnett Flood Appeal – will be drawn.
Tickets for the gala ball are available from the South Burnett Regional Council. Phone Bronwyn Barry on (07) 4189-9155 for more information.
There are also various sponsorship packages available which include 10-seat tables plus promotional opportunities. More information about these are also available by contacting Bronwyn.
All proceeds from the event will be placed in the Mayor’s Charity Trust which supports South Burnett charities and not-for-profit organisations.
NB. James Morrison was a smash hit when he played at Kingaroy’s Centenary Picnic In The Park celebration in September 2004, so tickets are sure to sell out quickly.
