BGA Agriservices, in conjunction with the Grains Research and Development Corporation, will be holding a Burnett Cropping Update next Monday (March 18) at the Redvale Research Station in Kingaroy.
The afternoon / evening session will begin at 1:00pm.
Growers will have the opportunity to learn more about fallow weed control, and how to match chemical rates and nozzle sizes to weed types.
There will also be a discussion of peanut fungicide strategies and a demonstration of peanut spraying using different nozzles and water volumes.
Winter cereal and chickpea varieties and disease management will also be discussed.
After a barbecue at 6:30pm, growers will be able to inspect sprayed peanut plots using ultraviolet light.
