The 30-year reunion for former Meandu Mine workers will still go ahead on Saturday despite today’s decision to cancel the South Burnett Wine and Food in the Park Festival.
The reunion will now be held from 11:00am at the Carrollee Hotel in King Street, Kingaroy.
Laura Langan, from Rio Tinto in Brisbane, is organising the reunion of Meandu workers to mark 30 years since the mine was opened.
All current and ex-employees from the Mine have been invited to attend.
The good news is, there is no need to RSVP, just turn up on the day.
