Queensland Parks and Wildlife staff and one rural fire crew are currently monitoring a slow-burning fire at Wengenville in the foothills of the Bunya Mountains.
An Emergency Services spokesman said the fire was reported at 3:00pm.
It is burning slowly along a 200m front near Wengen Creek Road in QPWS land.
Earlier today, three fire crews extinguished a small grass fire burning near Okeden Road at Speedwell.
This fire was reported at 11:24am and was out by 2:36pm.
A small fire this morning at Ellesmere North Road at Haly Creek has also also been controlled.
Crews were also called out today to small fires at Peron Road near Brooklands and McLucas Street, Murgon.
UPDATE 5:15pm: QPWS Regional Director South West Rob Murphy said QPWS crews were attending the wildfire burning on the eastern side of Bunya Mountains National Park, near Wengen Creek.
The cause of the fire was unknown.
He said the fire is currently burning within containment lines and there is a well-graded firebreak between the park and neighbouring properties.
“QPWS crews will undertake backburning this evening in an effort to contain the fire and prevent it spreading to adjoining property,” he said.
