Five rural fire brigade crews have been called to a large grass fire which broke out near River Road at Gordonbrook this morning.
A Queensland Emergency Services spokesman said the first crew arrived on the scene at 9:00am.
Firefighters had the outbreak “two-thirds under control” by 10:20am.
No properties are under threat but there is extensive smoke in the area.
UPDATE 2:00pm: The fire has been contained by nine rural and urban crews; a grader was also used to establish breaks.

QPWS crews are still attending a wildfire on the eastern side of the Bunya Mountains National Park.
QPWS Regional Director South West Rob Murphy said the fire was contained within control lines on QPWS land. Three QPWS crews conducted a successful backburn last night.
Crews will continue to monitor the fire over the weekend.
