Eight fire crews were called to a grass fire in the Ironpot area which erupted in the early hours of this morning.
The fire, on Ironpot Road, broke out at 4:40am.
At 12:45pm today, crews were leaving the scene with the fire now under control.
At Ballogie, four fire crews are on the site of a fire on Melrose Road / Wondai-Chinchilla Road, just east of the Fortrus Quarry.
This fire was reported at 7:30am.
An Emergency Services spokesman said firefighters were conducting backburns in an effort to control the fire but there was no threat to property.
Because of the dangerous fire conditions, rural fire fighters in the region were this morning put on Wildfire Alert Level 3 status in preparation for grass and bush fires.
