The first round of two-day A Grade games for the 2012-13 South Burnett cricket season began this weekend.
Kingaroy RSL took on Warriors at Lyle Vidler Oval and Murgon Crusaders played Nanango Scorpions at Murgon.
Both these games will be concluded next Saturday (November 24).

In Kingaroy, Kingaroy RSL won the toss and batted first, notching up an impressive 301. Top scorers were Brady Roberts (72) and Shane Winter (50). For Warriors, Andrew Askin took 2/42.
In reply, the Warriors were bowled out for 92, with Dan O’Conner (27) and Shane Gray (23) top scoring. David Hosking took 3/26.
Kingaroy RSL lead by 209 on first innings and will begin batting next week.

At Murgon, Crusaders won the toss and decided to bowl.
The Scorpions were bowled out for 105. Brendan Weil made 37 and Freddy Davies (22). Colin Rowbotham took 5/28 and Boyd Hopkins 3/2.
Crusaders were then bowled out for 82. Damien Sippel (17) and Dereck Sander (15) were the best for Murgon. Freddy Davies took 6/22 and Brendan Weil 2/17.
Nanango were then bowled out in the last over of the day for 87. Sonny Stevens was 31 n/o and Rowan Winterfield made 18. James McUtchen took 2/8, Graeme Brown 2/10 and Nathan Kapernick 2/11.

Warriors were too strong for Kingaroy RSL in their B Grade cricket match played on Saturday at Taabinga State School Oval.
Warriors made 8/206 from their 40 overs. Top scorers were Paul Clegg (48), Steve Price (34) and Brodie Dionysius (32n/o).
Best of the Kingaroy bowlers were Caylen Brown 4/16 (off 8 overs) and Richie Donohue 2/45 (7 overs).
In reply, Kingaroy RSL was dismissed for 83. Best for Services were Jacob Heidrich (29) and Caylen Brown (22).
Warriors bowlers tore through the Services attack: Peter Sorensen took 3/13 off five overs and Dane Bloomfield took 2/5 (3 overs).

At Murgon Sports Grounds, the home team Murgon Colts defeated the Wondai Wolves by seven wickets.
The Wolves batted first and were all out for 90 off 21 overs. Best batsmen were Geoff Wallis (41) and Kiall Rowberry (22).
Colts’ bowlers Nev Kratzmann and Barry Fisher both took four wickets: Kratzmann 4/15 off 6 overs, Fisher 4/25 off 6 overs,
In reply, Colts ran down the target in the 18th over with the loss of four wickets.
Nev Kratzmann (36) and Daniel Georgetown (25) were top scorers.
Robbie Steinhardt, 1/8 off 3 overs, and Chris Bodey, 1/28 off 6 overs, were the best of the Wolves’ bowlers.

The U19 representative game between South Burnett and Bundaberg, scheduled to be played on Sunday at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy, was cancelled due to the wet weather.
