Is your business suffering? Are you frustrated at dealing with staff who aren’t productive and don’t want to sell?

Are you sick of trying to make your business successful?

Did you start a business so you wouldn’t have to work for someone else and now find yourself working even longer hours and earning even less than a job?

These and an whole lot more questions will be addressed at free workshops being funded by the South Burnett Regional Council for business owners and their staff.

The five-week course will be run at two locations:

  • Murgon – Gumnut Place, Gore Street, from 6:00pm-8:30pm, and
  • Kingaroy – Town Hall Supper Room, 9:00am-11:30am.

The workshops will begin on Tuesday, November 13. They will cover:

  •  How to effortlessly create a successful set of business processes
  •  How to ignite passion in the people who work for you (including re-igniting your own passion)
  •  How to train, develop and motivate your team to turn your customers into ambassadors
  •  How to manage your business more effectively
  •  How to market and advertise your business for free (or for very little cost)

South Burnett Regional Council says the workshops will assist businesses to build resilience strategies.

“Council have previously funded these workshops in Nanango and received excellent feedback from participants,” Manager of Business and Economic Development Phil Harding said.

“We are now conducting workshops in Kingaroy and Murgon at two different times so more business owners and their staff can attend.

“The workshops are free for all business owners and they are welcome to bring staff. All necessary materials are provided.”

Mayor Wayne Kratzmann said the workshops would give business owners practical strategies to sustain and build their business.

Cr Kratzmann said the workshops would cover business planning, customer service, selling skills, people management, recruitment, marketing and time management.
