The Burnett Mary Regional Group, in partnership with South East Burnett Landcare, is holding a free workshop in Booubyjan next week to assist primary producers with knowledge about how to better manage farm waterways.
Guest speaker will be Peter McAdam who has a special interest in in-stream erosion.
The all-day workshop, which will include a field trip to erosion sites around the South Burnett, will cover:
- Water flow and energy
- The impact of stream process on soil stability, and
- Identifying and understanding erosion and some remediation options
Cost is free and lunch and dinner will be provided.
The day will begin at 8:30am at Booubyjan Hall and conclude at 5:00pm with a barbecue dinner and discussion.
