October 31, 2012

Kingaroy State High School’s young musicians will be taking the audience on a journey of 200 years of popular music at their end-of-school concert at Kingaroy Town Hall on Friday night.

Admission is just $5 (primary school age and younger children are free) and everyone is invited to attend.

The students, from the school’s Instrumental Music Program, will be performing popular pieces from 1812 to 2012.

The concert will start at 7:00pm.

Teacher Matt Phillips said the program would include music by Tchaikovsky, Puccini, Neil Diamond, John Lee Hooker, Blink 182 and Black Eyed Peas … amongst others!

A canteen will be open on the night and a cent auction will also be held.
