A new electric-powered examination bed has been installed at the South Burnett Private Hospital as a result of fund-raising from the inaugural South Burnett Mayoral Charity Breakfast and a generous donation from Swickers.

The bed arrived last week and has already been utilised to its full potential in assisting patients, especially those with decreased mobility.

The bed is able to be lowered close to the floor, and has electronic head and foot rest movement to assist patient comfort.

“The Private Hospital is one of the South Burnett Regional Council’s building assets, which means it is owned by the community,” South Burnett mayor Wayne Kratzmann said.

“I proudly support the South Burnett Private Hospital. It is a 23-bed hospital that provides much-needed services, including specialist medical care, without the need to travel outside the South Burnett region.”
